Jazz/R&B superstar sax player Boney James makes his anticipated return to the Buffalo State Performing Arts Center for the first time in four years. During his 30-year career, Boney has earned four Grammy nominations, two NAACP Image Award nominations, and a Soul Train Award, while a dozen of his albums have landed at #1 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Album chart. His 2020 studio release Solid was Boney's highest charting release ever on the pop charts, peaking in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. And his most recent release, Detour, is his 18th studio album and builds on the success of Solid. Detour represents the next extension of Boney's trademark blend of genres which includes blues, soul, roots, classical, art-pop and hip-hop.
The Buffalo State Performing Arts Center charges a 10% per ticket service charge for events. This fee will be added to the ticket price at the time of order.

Grammy and NAACP award winning, contemporary jazz pioneer Najee has been one of the brightest stars in jazz for close to four decades. Throughout his career he has collaborated with many legends including Prince, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Herbie Hancock. His 19th album Savoir Faire was released in 2022 to critical acclaim.
